No, Bush is Not as Bad as Hitler
| One of the most frustrating moments when discussing current events and politics is the dreaded dip into moral relativism, the idea that all viewpoints and belief systems are all equally valid. The most fervent proponents of this philosophy can equate the Taliban with the American civil rights movement without batting an eyelash. I was reading the WSJ today, and noticed a review of the book Fear of Knowledge by Paul Goghossian. From William Edwald’s review: His analysis is something of a tour de force: subtle and orginal enought to attract the attention of professional philosophers but accessible enough to read by anyone with an interest in the subject. The result is one of the most readable works of philosophy in recent years. I really can’t wait to get my hands on this book. |
