Stacks at Stake
I just read BadBlood bemoan a play he made in NL that reminded me of just how awful my NL ring game play has been lately. I used to play NL ring games (anywhere from $0.25/$0.50 to $1/$2) almost exclusively. I would sprinkle in a SNG to break the monotony. Over the past 6 months, it has been the reverse: mostly SNG play, with some ring games thrown in. And the results have been terrible.
The point in BadBlood analysis being that good, NL ring play is about making a small number of big decisions for other player’s stacks. I have (sadly) become so bad at making good calls at these points that I simply don’t trust myself to play NL on-line right now.
But, it wasn’t always like this, and that makes me feel better. I just need to find a way to, slowly, get back to where I was.
